The broad "event zone" for July's Republican National Convention will prohibit people from carrying fake guns, or weapons that are similar to real guns.
But real guns themselves? They'll be allowed.
Here is a complete list of prohibited items:
Black Panthers Intend to be Armed in Cleveland
The New Black Panther Party, a "black power" movement, will carry firearms for self-defense during rallies in Cleveland ahead of next week's Republican convention, if allowed under Ohio law, the group's chairman said.
Police at first will wear lightweight uniforms.
But Cleveland police by default will not wear protective gear, Deputy Chief Ed Tomba said.
Rather, officers will be outfitted in short sleeves and slacks, and in the event of officers on bicycles, polo shirts and shorts. Officers will also ride motorcycles and horses.
"Our posture is one of community policing and community engagement," Tomba said.
He later added: "What you you won't see is any military-style equipment. And you won't see officers in personal protective gear unless the situation dictates that they put on that gear."
