Call To Discernment

Calling Christians to Biblical Christianity. Christians must have discernment in all areas of life in this end time of deception, realizing also that American leadership of both political parties are leading us into the New World Order of the coming antichrist. Do not be conformed to this world. Rom. 12:2. Expose the deeds of darkness. Eph. 5:11. "He that is not zealous against error, is not likely to be zealous for truth." J.C. 8:43 AM - The Old Rugged Cross

This is undoubtetly one of the best hymns ever written that will forever remain immortal. It is so comforting and peaceful for a pilgrim in this sick, sick world. Words and music by George Bennard (1873-1958). If this rendition performed by St. Andrew's Church, Egmore, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India doesn't bring tears to your eyes you must desperately need a spiritual checkup. I can't tire of listening to this over and over. Even if most American Christians can't recognize genuine Christian music anymore at least people in other lands can. I will be posting more of these hymns from India later on weekends.

On a hill far away stood an old rugged cross,
The emblem of suffering and shame;
And I love that old cross where the dearest and best
For a world of lost sinners was slain.

Refrain
So I'll cherish the old rugged cross,
Till my trophies at last I lay down;
I will cling to the old rugged cross,
And exchange it some day for a crown.

O that old rugged cross, so despised by the world,
Has a wondrous attraction for me;
For the dear Lamb of God left His glory above
To bear it to dark Calvary.

Refrain

In that old rugged cross, stained with blood so divine,
A wondrous beauty I see,
For 'twas on that old cross Jesus suffered and died,
To pardon and sanctify me.

Refrain

To the old rugged cross I will ever be true;
Its shame and reproach gladly bear;
Then He'll call me some day to my home far away,
Where His glory forever I'll share.

Refrain
