Call To Discernment

Calling Christians to Biblical Christianity. Christians must have discernment in all areas of life in this end time of deception, realizing also that American leadership of both political parties are leading us into the New World Order of the coming antichrist. Do not be conformed to this world. Rom. 12:2. Expose the deeds of darkness. Eph. 5:11. "He that is not zealous against error, is not likely to be zealous for truth." J.C. 8:25 PM - Food for Thought

"Perhaps our lack of longing for heaven says something about our lack of fellowship with Him (Jesus).
Joseph M. Stowell

A friend of mine, Bud Wood, founded Shepherds Home in Wisconsin for boys and girls with developmental disabilities. This ministry started with a primary goal of sharing God's love with the residents and encouraging them toward a personal and growing walk with Jesus.

I remember Bud asking me one time, "Hey, Joe, do you know what our biggest maintenance problem at Shepherds is?"

"I have no idea," I replied.

"Dirty windows. Our kids press their hands and faces against the windows because they're looking to the sky to see if today might be the day that Jesus will return for them and take them to His home where they will be healed and complete."

I love that! Talk about having your priorities in the right place. One of the hallmarks of a committed follower of Jesus is a longing for His return.

Excerpts from a devotional by Joseph Stowell, similar to the one for June 1 from his book Strength for the Journey, Day by Day With Jesus, which includes the quote above.
